SBI Mutual Fund has purchased a total of 1,20,00,000 shares, amounting to a 1.5% stake in Karur Vysya Bank. The shares were picked at an average price of Rs 162 apiece on both bourses (BSE and NSE).
Karur Vysya Bank is among six old generation private sector banks that have been identified by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to implement Speed Clearing at Mumbai.
