Arvind, one of the largest integrated textiles and branded apparel player is planning offer more of stretch denims by the year-end, looking at more demand for stretch denims over the conventional denim. The company has decided to increase its offering of stretch denims to 50% from current 30%.
With this plan to offer more of stretch denims, it has to increase out sourcing of filament yarn from Invista, which will increase by current 12 tonnes per month to more than 20 tonnes per month. The company has developed extremely difficult stretches with Lycra fiber like stretch selvedge denim, stretch jacquard denim, super soft high recovery excel stretch denim, in association with Invista.
