Bank of Maharashtra unveils Doorstep Banking Service: Report

Bank of Maharashtra has reportedly unveiled Doorstep Banking Service (DSBS) for its corporate and retail customers in Mumbai and Pune. In DSBS, the bank will pick up cash up to Rs 2 crore daily from its customers. Further, the bank will also deliver cash against the cheques received with the minimum limit amount of Rs 5 lakh and maximum limit amount of Rs 50 lakh.

The bank’s net profit for the quarter ended March 31, 2013 has surged by over three and a half fold at Rs 258.99 crore for the quarter as compared to Rs 72.83 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2012. Bank’s total income has increased by 52.76% at Rs 3163.88 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 2071.21 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.
