City Union Bank spurts on BSE

City Union Bank is currently trading at Rs 57.00, up by 0.40 points or 0.71% from its previous closing of Rs. 56.60 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 56.65 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 57.00 and Rs. 56.15 respectively. So far 10189 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Re 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 65.60 on 16-Jan-2013 and a 52 week low of Rs 38.81 on 31-May-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 57.10 and Rs. 55.40 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs 2905.53 crore.

The Institutions holding in the company stood at 29.64% while Non-Institutions held 70.36% of the stake.

Private sector lender, City Union Bank has opened two new branches in state of Kerala. The bank has opened first branch located at Thripunithura, Ernakulam District on May 23, 2013 while the second branch is been opened at Alapuzha, Alapuzha District on May 24, 2013.

The bank reported 3.74% rise in its net profit at Rs 80.42 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2012 as compared to Rs 77.52 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the bank has increased by 29.50% at Rs 596.03 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 460.24 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2011.
