Godfrey Phillips India re-locates Andheri production facilities plant to Rabale, Navi Mumbai

Godfrey Phillips India’s production facilities plant located at Andheri, Mumbai have been largely re-located to its new plant at Rabale, Navi Mumbai. Besides, the board of directors of the company at its meeting held on May 29, 2013, took note of the recent settlement made by the company with 236 unionized staff and workmen attached to its plant at Andheri, Mumbai, pursuant to the voluntary retirement schemes announced by it. The financial outlay on this account amounted to Rs 35 crore approximately.

Godfrey Phillips India’s core business is manufacturing cigarette. Under this division has created brands like Four Square, Red and White, Jaisalmer, Cavanders and Tipper. The company has also initiative in developing products such as Stellar, the first slim cigarette and I-gen, the first euro norm cigarette in India.
