Ushdev International is reportedly planning to purchase wind power assets, after spinning off its wind power business into a subsidiary. The company has taken this decision after considering the cost of putting new capacities. It has started investing in wind power in 1997, in order to gain from the depreciation benefits, and has about 90 MW of capacity.
The company has posted a rise of 80.96% in its net profit at Rs 57.58 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2013 as compared to Rs 31.82 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income from operation of the company has increased by 45.42% at Rs 3008.83 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 2069.01 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2012.
