PVR has opened two multiplexes one each at Chandigarh and Bangalore on June 21, 2013, comprising a total of 17 screens fitted with latest sound and projection system. The company has inaugurated one multiplex at ‘Elante Mall’, situated at Chandigarh Industrial and Business Park, Phase-I, Chandigarh, comprising 8 screens and other at ‘Phoenix Market City Mall’ situated at Dyavasandhara, Phase-II, Industrial Area, Bangalore District, Karnataka comprising 9 screens.
With the opening of these two multiplex, the total screens count has gone up to 247 screens at 50 locations across 28 cities in 13 states and 1 union territory. Besides, the opening of these two prestigious Cinemas is a part of the company’s organic growth strategy of pan India expansion and increasing its presence in major cities.
PVR is engaged in the business of film exhibition. The company operates other business such as providing content, film distribution and Entertainment Park through its subsidiaries. Currently, the company has achieved the status of being India’s largest cinema chain.
