Central Bank of India surges on reporting 49% rise in Q2 consolidated net profit

Central Bank of India is currently trading at Rs. 58.92, up by 1.53 points or 2.67% from its previous closing of Rs. 57.39 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 57.98 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 60.34 and Rs. 57.10 respectively. So far 869624 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 76.85 on 07-Feb-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 40.84 on 26-Oct-2023.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 60.34 and Rs. 56.60 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 51130.73 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 93.08%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 3.15% and 3.76% respectively.

Central Bank of India has reported 50.78% rise in its net profit at Rs 912.84 crore for second quarter ended September 30, 2024 as compared to Rs 605.43 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the bank increased by 17.09% at Rs 9849.32 crore for Q2FY25 as compared to Rs 8411.92 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On consolidated basis, the bank has reported 48.54% rise in net profit at Rs 923.83 crore for Q2FY25 as compared to Rs 621.95 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the bank increased by 17.13% at Rs 9884.28 crore for Q2FY25 as compared to Rs 8438.51 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
