Fischer Medical Ventures’ arm launches Sikkim MRI Public-Private Partnership Project

Fischer Medical Ventures’ wholly owned subsidiary -- Time Medical International Ventures (India) has launched the Sikkim MRI Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Project, a pivotal initiative aimed at enhancing healthcare infrastructure and diagnostic capabilities in the region. This project is specifically focused on Tuberculosis (TB) Diagnostic Screening and implemented through the PPP model under the Ayushman Bharat and National Health Mission (NHM) schemes.

Time Medical will install seven 0.35T Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) machines across the state for the Government and in the Government hospitals to aid in TB diagnostic screening (2 machines at Sir Thutop Namgyal Memorial (STNM) Hospital and 1 machine each at Namchi, Soreng, Gyalshing, Pakyong, and Singtam Hospitals). The first MRI facility will be inaugurated at STNM Hospital, Gangtok, in February 2025. The second MRI unit at Geyzing District Hospital is scheduled to be launched before the end of FY 2024-25, and construction is progressing at the designated sites in Singtam and Namchi. The services provided under this project will span a period of 10 years, ensuring sustained support and maintenance of the MRI facilities across the designated hospitals.
