Specialty chemicals bags nod for capacity expansion at Roha plants

Specialty chemicals producer Clariant Chemical has got approval for the proposal of capacity expansion at its plants at Roha in Maharashtra. It has Azo pigments and pigment preparation units at Roha in adjoining Raigad district.  It is likely to invest around Rs 38 crore in its pigments business at Roha site and will construct a new pigment plant to double capacity.

With this initiative, the company aims to support the market growth in India. Will also enhance its on-the-ground presence and offer more intimate customer service in the emerging Indian and Asian markets. The company is also in the process of doubling marketing and sales organisation in India, China and Indonesia throughout 2013.

Clariant Chemicals (India) represents a valuable repository of manufacturing and marketing experience. Its constituents were all well respected companies who played an invaluable role in the development of the textiles, leather, paints, plastics, printing inks and agrochemicals industries in India.
