Oriental Bank of Commerce reports 10% fall in Q1 net profit

Oriental Bank of Commerce has reported results for first quarter ended June 30, 2013.

On standalone basis, the bank has posted a fall of 9.72% in its net profit at Rs 353.38 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2013 as compared to Rs 391.42 crore for the same quarter in the previous year.  However, total income has increased by 11.93% at Rs 5255.70 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 4695.57 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2012.

Gross non-performing assets (NPAs) increased to 3.36% in the April-June quarter as against 2.97% in the same quarter previous year while net NPAs increased to 2.34%.
