Nalanda India Equity Fund has bought 2,170,000 shares of Triveni Turbine through an open market transaction. The shares were purchased at an average price of Rs 50 on National Stock Exchange (NSE) on August 05, 2013.
Earlier this month, Nalanda India Equity Fund has acquired a total of 35.38 lakh equity shares in Triveni Turbine, Of the total, the company bought 17,28,500 shares at Rs 49.97 on the NSE and bought 18,09,500 shares at Rs 49.98 on the BSE.
Triveni Turbine was demerged from Triveni Engineering and industries with effect from April 21, 2011. The company is a market leader in steam turbines up to 30 MW. TTL’s manufacturing facility is located in Bangalore with capacity to produce 80-100 steam turbines a year.
