Himalya International has received an approval to put up 100% Export Oriented Unit (EOU) for vegetable/potato processing plant at Gujarat to meet the demand in SAARC nations & retain its developing customer base in retail / QSR food service segment. The company has taken this step in view of the sale of potato and vegetable processing /French fry line to Simplot India, last year. The board of director at its meeting held on July 30, 2013 has approved for the same.
Besides, the board considered the update on appetizer plant at Gujarat and directed to take effective steps to put it in regular production as soon as possible. The board also considered the wind down operation of JV by the Simplot India and directed to safeguard company’s interest in appropriate manner.
