SEPC has informed that the Outside Expert Committee (OEC), an alternate dispute resolution mechanism, constituted by SAIL RSP for resolving certain disputes between SEPC and SAIL RSP has awarded Rs 4,20,98,037/- in favour of the company and the same has been accepted by the parties and the settlement agreement dated 12th February 2025 has been signed. This is the first successful mediation for both SEPC and SAIL, through the alternate resolution mechanism i.e. mediation through OEC, which has substantially saved on time and cost without going through Arbitration or other court proceedings.
