Tamilnad Mercantile Bank surges on reporting 15% rise in Q4 net profit

Tamilnad Mercantile Bank is currently trading at Rs. 460.95, up by 20.10 points or 4.56% from its previous closing of Rs. 440.85 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 445.05 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 482.30 and Rs. 445.05 respectively. So far 40752 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 509.95 on 09-Dec-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 403.35 on 03-Mar-2025.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 482.30 and Rs. 435.75 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 7261.21 crore.

The Institutions and Non-Institutions held 6.44% and 93.56% stake in the company respectively.

Tamilnad Mercantile Bank has reported 15.35% rise in its net profit at Rs 291.90 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 253.06 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the bank increased by 8.78% at Rs 1,542.06 crore for Q4FY25 as compared Rs 1,417.61 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

For the year ended March 31, 2025, the bank has reported 10.32% rise in its net profit at Rs 1,182.61 crore as compared to Rs 1,072.03 crore for the previous year. Total income of the bank increased by 11.81% at Rs 6,141.75 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 5,492.85 crore for year ended March 31, 2024.
