BHEL shines on emerging as lowest bidder for 1000 MW NLC unit tender

BHEL is currently trading at Rs. 119.70, up by 3.60 points or 3.10% from its previous closing of Rs. 116.10 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 118.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 121.60 and Rs. 117.10 respectively. So far 9,32,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 272.45 on 05-Oct-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 100.35 on 20-Aug-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 117.35 and Rs. 100.35 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 29,297.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 67.72% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 27.22% and 5.06% respectively.

Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) has emerged the lowest bidder for 1000 MW Neyveli lignite Corporation (NLC) unit tender. The 1000 MW Neyveli lignite project cost is seen at Rs 5907 crore. Further, the company is also planning to bid for NTPC’s 1600 MW Darlipali, Orissa project.
