SPML Infra bags orders worth Rs 772.20 crore

SPML Infra, India’s leading infrastructure development company has obtained new orders worth Rs 772.20 crore from Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) of Rajasthan and Bangalore Water Supply & Sewerage Board (BWSSB), Karnataka.

The two orders worth Rs 607.60 crore received from PHED, Jodhpur and Bharatpur are for the development of rural water supply schemes benefitting more than 365 villages and their dhanies in Jalore and Karouli districts of Rajasthan. Almost three million populations of these districts will be benefitted with drinking water facility once these projects are completed. SPML will also be responsible for the operations & maintenance of these water infrastructure projects for a decade after the commissioning. Of 607.60 crore order, the Rs 372.70 crore order from PHED, Jodhpur is for the execution of work related to Transmission Mains for Water Supply Scheme for 256 villages and Bhinmal town of Jalore district under Narmada ER Project scheme. Scope of work includes construction of Raw Water Reservoir, Water Treatment Plant, Raw and Clear Water Transmission Mains, 33/6.6 kv Switchyard, related works between RD 29.3 of Narmada Main Canal and Ramseen along with civil, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation works. The construction period is 36 months with operation & maintenance for 10 years post commissioning.

While, Rs 234.90 crore project has come from PHED, Bharatpur for development of regional water supply infrastructure for 63 villages and other habitants of Nadouti tehsil in Karoui district and 46 enroute villages of Gangapur and Karouli towns of Rajasthan on single responsibility turnkey basis. The scope of work includes Clear Water Reservoirs, Gravity Feeder, Cluster Pump House, construction of 34 Elevated Service Reservoirs (ESR) along with other civil, mechanical electrical and instrumentation works with SCADA system. The time line of this design-build-operate project is 30 months with 10 years of operation & maintenance post commissioning.

The other order from BWSSB is first of its kind project for reduction of non-revenue water (NRW) for Bangalore city. SPML will be executing this project with its JV partner SUEZ Environment with the implementation of modern technology for leak detection and installing DMA Meters along with other initiatives. The scope of work for Rs 164.60 crore improvements of Water Distribution System, Reduction in UFW & Leakage Control from Bangalore Water Supply & Sewerage Board is spread into two stages. At first stage - plan, design and implement to replace all pipes less than 100 mm, all PVC and AC pipes, house service connections, replacing damaged and non-operational water meters. At second stage, it includes detailed surveys, verification of assets, network modeling, web based GIS system, installation of electronic district meters suitable for GSM/GPRS communication (flow and pressure), remote transmission unit, measuring unaccounted-for water (UFW) through leak and non-leak component and installing DMA meters, pressure monitoring points, setting up of meter testing and service workshop, instrumentation system, dealing with customer complaints on meter problems with 5 years of operation and maintenance.
