Simplex Castings has secured order worth Rs 4.30 crore from the Ministry of Defence (MoD) through Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders (MDL). The order involves the supply of critical propulsion-system castings for the 7,500 DWT Multi-Purpose Vessels (MPV) under construction at MDL, reinforcing the company’s position as a trusted partner in India’s maritime and defence manufacturing ecosystem.
In this regard, the company will manufacture and deliver Stern Boss Castings, Forward Stern Tube Castings, Test Coupons, and complete documentation sets for six vessels (Yard Nos. 21001- 21006). The order will be executed within 6 to 8 months.
