Bajaj Auto inches up as its arm’s KTM AG completes restructuring

Bajaj Auto is currently trading at Rs. 9558.60, up by 2.50 points or 0.03% from its previous closing of Rs. 9556.10 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 9580.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 9608.70 and Rs. 9495.05 respectively. So far 63943 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 9883.30 on 08-Jan-2026 and a 52 week low of Rs. 7088.25 on 07-Apr-2025.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 9883.30 and Rs. 9360.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 267096.52 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 55.04%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 22.44% and 22.52% respectively.

Bajaj Auto’s step-down subsidiary -- Bajaj Mobility AG’s KTM AG has completed restructuring process in 2025. Following the successful completion of the restructuring, KTM AG is initiating a global rightsizing program with an aim of strengthening competitiveness in the long term by reducing fixed costs, streamlining structures, focusing the product and project portfolio, and optimizing its international location and management network. As part of this necessary realignment, it has reduced round 500 employees, mainly in white-collar areas and middle management. The number of employees as of December 31, 2025, was 3,794 (previous year: 5,310). In 2025, KTM AG had divested its bicycle business with the sale of FELT Bicycles. Further, the termination of the distribution of CFMOTO and the sale of MV Agusta and X-Bow plays a key role in the realignment.

Post this restructuring, Bajaj Mobility AG expects consolidated sales for the past fiscal year 2025 to be just over 1 billion euros, marking a reduction of around 46% compared to the previous year. The Bajaj Mobility Group sold 80,464 motorcycles in the second half of fiscal year 2025 (H2), representing a 60% increase on the first half of the year (H1: 50,334 units). In addition, 43,956 motorcycles (H1: 34,950 units) were sold in H2 via strategic partnership with the company. The Bajaj Mobility Group's motorcycle sales in fiscal year 2025 totalled 209,704 units. The reduction of the motorcycle inventory from 101,153 units (as of December 31, 2024: 248,580 units compared to December 31, 2025: 147,427 units) is a significant part of restructuring of KTM. Further, as part of the closure of the bicycle division, 64,110 e-bicycles and bicycles were sold (previous year: 106,311).
