Tata Motors reports 30% rise in total sales in January

Tata Motors (TMCV) has reported 29.9% rise in its total sales, including domestic & international markets, at 41,549 units in January 2026 as compared to 31,988 units in the same month last year. Total domestic vehicle sales grew 29.1% at 38,844 units in January 2026 as compared to 30,083 units in the same month last year.

Out of which, the sales of HCV Trucks increased 41.2% to 12,691 units in January 2026 as compared to 8,990 units in same month year ago. Further, ILMCV Trucks sales grew 33.5% to 7,071 units in January 2026 against 5,298 units in January 2025. Besides, SCV cargo and pickup vehicles sales rose 29.5% to 14,520 units in January 2026 as compared to 11,213 units in the same month last year. However, the sales of Passenger Carriers decreased marginally to 4,562 units in January 2026 vs 4,582 units in January 2025.

The company’s exports in January 2026 stood at 2,705 units as compared to 1,905 units in January 2025, a registering a jump of 42.0%.

Meanwhile, domestic sales of Medium, Heavy, and Intermediate Commercial Vehicle (MH&ICV) increased 29.9% to 19,676 units in January 2026 vs 15,137 units in January 2025. The Domestic & International sales for MH&ICV rose 29.3% to 20,792 units in January 2026 vs 16,076 units in January 2025.
