Oriental Bank of Commerce reports 17% fall in Q2 net profit

Oriental Bank of Commerce has reported results for second quarter ended September 30, 2013.

The bank has reported a fall of 16.80% in its net profit at Rs 251.41 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2013 as compared to Rs 302.19 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the bank increased by 3.45% at Rs 4987.71 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 4821.37 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2012.

Gross non-performing assets (NPAs) have increased to 3.77% in the July-September quarter as against 2.92% in the same quarter previous year, while net NPAs too increased to 2.69%.
