BHEL trades higher on bagging NoA worth over Rs 21,000 crore from MUNPL

Bharat Heavy Electricals is currently trading at Rs. 392.65, up by 2.80 points or 0.72% from its previous closing of Rs. 389.85 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 389.85 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 400.15 and Rs. 382.75 respectively. So far 1100532 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 424.85 on 29-May-2026 and a 52 week low of Rs. 205.20 on 29-Aug-2025.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 424.85 and Rs. 368.50 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 136409.83 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 58.17%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 31.21% and 10.62% respectively.

Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) has received a Notification of Award (NoA) worth over Rs 21,000 crore (excl. GST) from Meja Urja Nigam (MUNPL), a joint venture company between NTPC and Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam (UPRVUNL). The NoA is for EPC package of 3x800 MW Meja supercritical thermal power project Stage-II (Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh).

The nature of order is design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, construction, erection, testing and commissioning works for the EPC package. The completion of facilities (COF) of EPC package will be completed within 70 months from the date of NoA.

Bharat Heavy Electricals is an Indian central public sector undertaking and the largest government-owned power generation equipment manufacture.
