PTC Industries has secured a landmark order from BrahMos Aerospace for the development, integration and supply of a strategic missile sub-system for the BrahMos programme. The order is to be executed within two years. It is the company’s first major order of this nature in systems-level integration and marks an important strategic move further downstream in the aerospace and defence value chain. With this development, the company begins a new chapter in its evolution - from being a trusted supplier of critical materials, precision castings and engineered components to becoming a partner for high-value systems and sub-systems for advanced defence and aerospace platforms.
The order involves the development and integration of a mission-critical structural assembly for one of India’s most important strategic defence platforms. Without disclosing programme-specific nomenclature or configuration details, the assembly is required to perform under demanding structural, thermal and dynamic conditions associated with supersonic applications.
The order adds a new and important dimension to PTC ONE - From Melt to Mission, extending the PTC Group’s integrated manufacturing capability from materials, castings and precision components into complex assemblies, systems and subsystems. The order validates the company’s strategy of building an integrated aerospace and defence manufacturing platform capable of serving increasingly complex and mission-critical requirements for India’s strategic programmes.
