Rashi Peripherals has entered into a joint venture (JV) with Restar Corporation, a leading Japanese electronics and technology company. As part of the transaction, Rashi Peripherals will transfer its semiconductor business division into a wholly owned subsidiary headquartered in Bengaluru and step-down subsidiary headquartered in Singapore. Restar Corporation - a around $4 billion conglomerate, will subsequently acquire a 26% equity stake in the subsidiary, with the JV scheduled to officially commence operations in October 2026.
In the joint venture, 74% of the shareholding will be held by Rashi Peripherals and 26% by Restar Corporation, with a 4-member Board (3 Rashi Peripherals and 1 Restar Corporation partner). The partnership will focus on delivering advanced Image Sensing Solutions for Industrial and Automotive applications, supported by localized engineering, design, and technical services tailored to the Indian market.
The JV brings together Restar Corporation's technology expertise, semiconductor ecosystem relationships, and global presence with Rashi Peripherals' extensive distribution reach, customer relationships, and market execution capabilities across India. Together, the partners aim to accelerate the adoption of advanced semiconductor technologies, support localized solution development, and address the growing needs of manufacturers in automotive, robotics, industrial automation, and other emerging sectors.
Rashi Peripherals is primarily engaged in distribution of computer and peripheral devices.
