Tata Motors has reported total commercial vehicle sales of 44,411 units across domestic and international markets in August 2026, registering a 49% year-on-year growth compared to 29,863 units sold in August 2025.
The company's domestic commercial vehicle sales increased by 33% to 36,619 units in August 2026 from 27,481 units in the corresponding month last year. Within the domestic segment, HCV Trucks sales rose 42% to 10,612 units in August 2026, while ILMCV Trucks sales grew 20% to 6,859 units in August 2026. Passenger Carriers has recorded a growth of 31% with sales of 4,701 units, and SCV Cargo and Pickup sales has increased 34% to 14,447 units in August 2026.
Further, the company's international business sales stood at 7,792 units in August 2026 as against 2,382 units in August 2025, registering an increase of 227% year-on-year. Besides, the domestic sales of MH&ICV in August 2026, was 17,531 units vs 13,405 units in August 2025 (Up 31% Y-o-Y). Domestic & International sales for MH&ICV in August 2026, was 18,920 units vs 14,667 units in August 2025 (Up 29% Y-o-Y).
