Shivam Chemicals has commenced Feed-Grade Dicalcium Phosphate (DCP) production under Phase I at the manufacturing facility of its subsidiary, Shivam Chemicals & Minerals, located at Dahej, Gujarat. The Group has an established presence in the feed phosphate business through its distribution and sales activities. The commencement of DCP production strategically expands this business by adding in-house manufacturing capabilities to the Group's existing sales and distribution platform.
The new manufacturing capability complements the Group's Hydrated Lime manufacturing operations, which have an installed production capacity of approximately 5,000 MT per month, and further broadens its manufacturing portfolio. Dicalcium Phosphate is an important source of phosphorus and calcium used in animal nutrition and feed formulations. In-house DCP manufacturing will enable the Group to progressively strengthen its participation across the feed phosphate value chain.
The facility represents Phase I of the Group's planned development of its feed phosphate manufacturing business and establishes a platform for further expansion in this segment. This development aligns with the company's strategy of strengthening its existing businesses through manufacturing integration, broadening its product portfolio and progressively increasing its presence in value-added products.
Shivam Chemicals is engaged in the business of wholesale sale of feed ingredient such as Di Calcium Phosphate and Mono Calcium Phosphate and Chemical Product such as Hydrated Lime (Calcium Hydroxide) and Quick lime (Calcium oxide).
