Tavexia Lifecare has secured approval to acquire a 60% controlling equity stake in Meyonex Pharmaceuticals. The board of directors of the company has approved the acquisition. The acquisition, valued at Rs 67.19 crore, will be executed through a cash subscription of 2,09,97,180 fresh equity shares at an issue price of Rs 32 per share. This strategic move provides the company with an immediate operational foothold via Meyonex’s established manufacturing and commercial operations situated in MIDC Tarapur, Maharashtra.
The acquisition of Meyonex is expected to deliver significant synergies, providing an immediate growth runway that enables the company to scale its revenue baseline and leverage operational efficiencies. To finance this well-capitalized roadmap, the management has initiated plans for strategic fund-raising through permissible equity or convertible instruments, ensuring capital discipline while backing accretive growth.
The company is positioning itself to benefit from sustained sector tailwinds, including support for domestic manufacturing, global supply-chain diversification (China+1 strategies), and escalating demand for specialized generic formulations. By pivoting decisively into contract manufacturing and scalable pharma assets, the company’s management aims to build a resilient platform designed to unlock substantial long-term value.
Additionally, the company is aggressively expanding into several high-growth segments, including Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) & Bulk Drugs, Finished Dosage Forms & Formulations, CDMO & CRAMS Services and Nutraceuticals & Biotechnology.
