Maya Academy of Advanced Cinematic (MAAC), a leader in 3D animation and VFX training, has joined hands with United Nations Information Centre (UNIC) for promoting the Millennium Development Goals in India and Bhutan.
The 8 Millennium Development Goals were propagated by the United Nations with the aim of improving the quality of lives of the world’s bottom line. It aims to reduce poverty and hunger, promote universal education, gender equality, child health, maternal health, combat HIV/AIDS, environmental sustainability and global partnership by 2015.
The event will also be a platform for MAAC to invite applications for eight 24FPS international animation awards, showcasing the best animation and VFX works in Hollywood, Bollywood, gaming and advertising films.
Aptech had acquired MAAC, which offers animation and multimedia education, in January 2010, for a consideration worth Rs 76 crore. MAAC is India’s leading educator in high end 3D animation and visual effects. It has trained over 30,000 students across the country and has over 70 centers with cutting edge infrastructure in over 40 cities.
