Ashok Leyland, the Hinduja group flagship, has unveiled its commercial vehicle the BOSS in Pune. The BOSS has been categorized as an intermediate commercial vehicle (ICV), which combines features of a commercial-purpose truck, and a passenger car.
The said commercial vehicle is manufactured at the company’s plant in Pantnagar, Uttarakhand plant and is being offered in the LE and LX variants. It is to be priced between Rs 10.5 lakh and Rs 12 lakh depending on variants and load span.
Recently, the company reported a drop of 14% in December sales at 6,275 vehicles, as against 7,294 sold in same month year ago. In December 2013, the sales of its overall M&HCV witnessed over 26% fall to 3,890 units from 5,230 units sold in the same month of last year.
