Suprajit Engineering climbs higher on the bourses

Suprajit Engineering is currently trading at Rs. 18.10, up by 0.10 points or 0.56% from its previous closing of Rs. 18.00 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 18.35 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 18.45 and Rs. 18.10 respectively. So far 5552 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 24.10 on 06-Dec-2010 and a 52 week low of Rs. 16.60 on 22-Aug-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 19.25 and Rs. 17.70 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 216.04 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 51.81% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 0.28% and 47.91% respectively. 

Suprajit Engineering performed a groundbreaking ceremony for a new automotive cable plant at Suprajit Automotive, 100% EOU at Bangalore on December 01, 2011. The plant is expected to start production before the end of 2012 to meet the new projects received from certain marquee customers for exports. Suprajit Automotive is a fully owned subsidiary of Suprajit Engineering.

Further, the company also performed a groundbreaking ceremony for another new plant at Doddaballapur, Bangalore. This plant is expected to produce some of the new products, which are currently in advanced stage of development.

Suprajit Engineering is India’s most preferred manufacturer of cables and instruments and meets the demand of virtually every major OEM in the automotive sector.
