IDFC Premier Equity Fund picks 2.50 lakh shares of Godfrey Phillips India

IDFC Premier Equity Fund has purchased 2,50,000 shares of Godfrey Phillips India through an open market transaction. The fund purchased 1.25 lakh shares at Rs 2,760 on Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and remaining 1.25 lakhs shares at Rs 2,760 on National Stock Exchange (NSE) on February 05, 2014.

On the other hand, The Royal Bank Of Scotland Plc as Trustee Of Jupiter India sold 99,524 shares of the company at Rs 2,766.66 on the NSE and The Royal Bank Of Scotland Plc As Trustee Of Jupiter India Fund sold 85,640 shares at Rs 2,760 on the BSE.

Godfrey Phillips India’s core business is manufacturing cigarette. Under this division has created brands like Four Square, Red and White, Jaisalmer, Cavanders and Tipper. The company has also initiative in developing products such as Stellar, the first slim cigarette and I-gen, the first euro norm cigarette in India.
