Hinduja Group's flagship company, Ashok Leyland, has begun exporting its multi-utility vehicle (MUV) STiLE. The first export destination is Africa, as the company wants to increase its footprint in the African market, which will be done gradually.
The first batch of vehicles has been shipped to Tanzania via the Chennai Port. Moreover, the company is looking at exporting to India’s neighbouring countries such as Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh, as well as the regions of Africa, West Asia and Asia.
The STiLE is powered by a 1.5 litre dCi common rail diesel engine that develops 76PS of power and 185Nm of torque and is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. The ARAI claimed mileage figure of the Ashok Leyland Stile is 19.5 km/pl.
