HCL Infosystems soars as promoter hikes stake in the company

HCL Infosystems is currently trading at Rs. 36.00, up by 0.85 points or 2.42% from its previous closing of Rs. 35.15 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 35.25 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 37.70 and Rs. 34.30 respectively. So far 1150966 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 40.75 on 14-Mar-2013 and a 52 week low of Rs. 19.05 on 18-Dec-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 38.60 and Rs. 27.50 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 823.54 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 57.89% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 21.52% and 20.59% respectively.

HCL Infosystems’ promoter Shiv Nadar family-run firm Vama Sundari Investments (Delhi) has increased its stake in the company via open market. Vama Sundari Investments (Delhi), the promoter group company has acquired 80,200 shares of the company for Rs 22.31 lakh during past one week. The promoter has bought these shares at an average price of Rs 27.83 per share.

On March 4, Vama Sundari Investments (Delhi) has purchased 52,220 shares, on March 5, it bought additional 13,000 shares and on March 7 the company acquired another 15,000 shares on the NSE. Since February 3, Vama Sundari Investments (Delhi) has bought 644,758 shares or 0.29% stake in HCL Infosystems, the data shows.

Vama Sundari Investments (Delhi), which hold 43.84% stake in HCL technologies, has nil holding in HCL Infosystems at the end of December 2013 quarter.
