Dhampur Sugar Mills trades higher on the BSE

Dhampur Sugar Mills is currently trading at Rs. 40.00, up by 0.25 points or 0.63% from its previous closing of Rs. 39.75 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 39.70 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 40.30 and Rs. 39.50 respectively. So far 2954 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 52.00 on 05-Apr-2013 and a 52 week low of Rs. 27.70 on 20-Aug-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 41.90 and Rs. 35.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 228.86 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 53.42% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 3.63% and 42.95% respectively.

Bengal & Assam Company has reportedly sold 14.43 lakh shares of Dhampur Sugar Mills through the open market route. The shares were sold on an average price of Rs 36.01 valuing the transaction to Rs 5.19 crore.

Dhampur Sugar Mills is engaged in manufacturing sugar, ethanol, chemicals and plantation white sugar. It is the first and the largest manufacturer of refined sulphurless sugar in the India.
