Ashok Leyland trades higher on the bourses

Ashok Leyland is currently trading at Rs. 17.85, up by 0.15 points or 0.85% from its previous closing of Rs. 17.70 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 17.70 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 18.05 and Rs. 17.70 respectively. So far 315685 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 24.55 on 30-May-2013 and a 52 week low of Rs. 11.82 on 29-Aug-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 18.05 and Rs. 17.05 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 4736.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 40.89% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 25.53% and 20.34% respectively.

Hinduja group flagship Ashok Leyland has unveiled its intermediate commercial vehicle Boss in the Delhi market priced between between Rs 10.5 lakh and Rs 12 lakh.

The vehicle will be available in different tonnage segments - 9.6T, 11.9T and 12.9T. It is powered by a 120 HP H-series BS3 complaint engine. Moreover, the Boss is being made at the company’s Pantnagar plant.

Ashok Leyland, the Hinduja Group flagship company in India, is engaged in the manufacturing of commercial vehicles and related components. The company’s products include buses, trucks, engines, defense and special vehicles.
