Jammu & Kashmir Bank inaugurates two ATMs in Baramulla

Jammu & Kashmir Bank (JKB), a private sector scheduled commercial bank has inaugurated two Automated Teller Machines (ATM) at Palhallan Pattan and Jadeed Road in Baramulla. The bank has recently commissioned an ATM at Kishenpur, Manwal in Udhampur near Power Grid.

Meanwhile, the Bank’s FLCC Bandipore Center organised various awareness programmes at villages Kehnusa, Nowgam, Inderkoot, Baharabad and RSETI Bandipore wherein a large number of people from the area participated. Facilitator of FLCC Bandipore apprised the audience about the concept & importance of Financial Inclusion and its impact on the economy of the society and advised them to open accounts with the financial institutions.

Jammu & Kashmir Bank (JKB) was incorporated on October 1, 1938 and commenced business from July 4, 1939 from its registered office at Residency Road Srinagar, Kashmir. JKB is the only state government owned bank in the country with the Government of J&K (GoJK) holding around 53% shareholding in the bank. JKB holds a monopolistic position in the state of J&K constituting majority of the credit and deposits in the state.
