Key highlights:

  • Segment wise year on year growth came from Warehousing (35%) while Transportation declined -1% during the quarter.
  • Revenues from Mahindra declined -5% while Non-Mahindra business showed growth of 18% year on year.
  • Operating margins declined due to seasonal manpower costs, lower than expected demand and start-up costs for new projects.
  • Space under Management reduced to 17.1 mn sq ft (vs 17.2 mn sq ft in previous quarter).

Outlook: As per the management, the quarter gone by was a challenging one. Demand from the auto sector continued to be impacted due to semi-conductor supply shortage and moderate growth in festive season. However, the company continued to deliver strong revenue performance from Consumer, Pharma and International freight forwarding.

The foregone quarter showed weakness majorly due to auto slowdown. Next year, the pick-up in auto is expected to be good due to low base of current year. The stock has been factoring high growth in its price and hence a disappointing quarter led to a sharp fall. The long term story stays intact.
