About Jainex Aamcol Ltd

Jainex Aamcol was incorporated in 1947 under the Indian Companies Act, 1913 as Anglo American Marine Co Ltd. and its name was subsequently changed to Jainex Aamcol Ltd. It had its factory at Mumbai, manufacturing hacksaw blades, press tools and dies.

In 1975, the company diversified into the manufacture of gear hobs in technical collaboration with Klingelnberg of Germany by setting up its plant at Aurangabad, Maharashtra. The Hob plant was inaugurated by Diether Klingelnberg, head of the house of Klingelnberg in the presence of Dr Rafiq Zakaria, Hon. Minister of Maharashtra.The company is a public limited company and its shares are listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange.

In 1986, the manufacturing activities were concentrated at Aurangabad. The present product range comprises of gear hobs, special cutting tools and inspection tools & precision accessories such as, spline & serration gauges, master gears etc. and are sold to the automotive material handling, machine tool, as well as gear box industries in India. The products are also exported to Germany and Australia.

In 2006, Jainex Aamcol was certified a ISO 9001:2000 company for design, manufacture and supply of gear cutting tools and special cutting tools by BVQI. Jainex Aamcol is a leading manufacturer of gear hobs and special cutting tools, inspection tools & precision accessories under the brand “Aamcol” and is a part of Jainex Group. The Jainex Group is a conglomerate with offices in all the leading cities of India and representative offices in USA, UK and Hongkong. Jainex Group deals with steel, gear cutting tools, pneumatic brake systems for railways, and has a turnover of $ 20 million.

The company has been catering to a wide range of customers including automobile industries, industrial and special gearbox manufacturers, machine tool manufacturers and many others. By producing international quality products, the company has not only saved country's foreign exchange but also generated it by exporting its products.Continuous research and development has enabled Jainex Aamcol to bring many new, high productive and accurate tools to the market.The company has added many new facilities such as computer systems, machinery and equipments that are latest in the field, to keep itself ahead.

Products

  • HOBS Jainex Aamcol tools can meet the largest range of teeth cutting. Starting from finer pitch of 0.3 module to heavy-duty hobs up to 24 module are standard range. Hobs for different applications such as spur/helical gears, double helical herringbone gears, involute splines, key splines, serrations, ratchet wheels, chain sprocket wheels, HTD timer pulleys, worm gears, duplex type hobs, etc. are specialities of Jainex Aamcol. Hobs can be designed with special modifications like generating type, fixed position, short lead, entry roughing lead designs, blocked teeth, etc. depending on requirement of part.
  • CUTTERS Jainex Aamcol offers precision form relieved ground or unground profile cutters ranging from standard single angle, double andgle, convex/conclave cutters to most complex intricate profile cutters like end mill type gear cutters, spline milling cutters, turbine blade profile milling cutters, etc.Inspection Tools and Precision Accessories.Spline gauge is an inspection tool used to quickly ascertain the acceptability of Internal/External splines or serration dimensions. It checks cumulative effect of various dimensions and permissable errors to confirm suitability for assembly of component(s). Thus, it helps in mass production to achieve perfection to micro level eliminates need for skilled hands.

  • Heat treatment services Through decades of experience in producing highest quality tools made from different types of Super HSS, Jainex Aamcol has established guaranteed resources in HSS heat treatment technology. Heat treatment on Super HSS and HSS tools requires special skills and precautions, especially for long shank tools having varying cross-sections.State-of-the-Art heat treating equipments and instruments added with skilled and specialized team assure delivery of uniform and consistent quality of treated tools.
  • Tool sharpening services Accurate resharpening of tools is of utmost importance for maintaining quality of machined components. Even the best quality tool can be rendered useless due to faulty resharpening. With the long experience and know-how gained during last 25 years of working; tool sharpening using latest technology in the field gives Jainex Aamcol edge over others. Special care is taken to maintain thermal and metallurgical stability of resharpened tools at Jainex Aamcol. Extra care is taken to avoid common tool sharpening problems such as true hob or cutter mounting on arbor, setting up to maintain desired rake faces, flute helix and correct flute indexing, etc.

Resharpening of tools on CNC resharpening machines ensures that required degree of accuracy is maintained on the resharpened tools for producing quality machined components. Each resharpened tool is checked on the Klingelnberg P-26 machine. Thus, when hobs, shaving cutters, shaping cutters are sharpened at Jainex Aamcol, the customers are guaranteed of accurate and consistent quality.
