About Mitsu Chem Plast Ltd

The company was incorporated as Mitsu Chem Private Limited on September 23, 1988 under the Companies Act, 1956 bearing Registration No. 048925 and having its Registered Office in Mumbai, Maharashtra. The name of the Company was changed to Mitsu Chem Plast Private Limited vide special resolution dated May 11, 2016. Also, vide the same special resolution; the status of the company was changed to a public limited company. A fresh Certificate of Incorporation consequent upon change of name to Mitsu Chem Plast Limited was issued on June 08, 2016 by the Registrar of Companies, Mumbai.

The company’s blow moulded product portfolio consists of four major segments viz. Industrial Containers, Healthcare Furniture, Automotive components and Infrastructure Furniture. Its injection moulded product portfolio consists of Medical Devices and Accessories for Industrial Containers, Healthcare Furniture and Automotive components. Its products are manufactured under its brand “Mitsu” and the same are sold to various intermediary companies who, after minor value additions and / or modifications supply to various Automobile companies.

The company’s industrial packing products like open mouth / wide mouth drums, jerry cans, bottles and varied size containers are currently the preferred choice of some of the top Indian pharmaceutical companies and are also made of 100% food grade materials adhering to 21 CFR norms as per USFDA standards. Its end users include various national and international automobile companies, pharmaceutical & chemical companies, hospitals, and other corporate houses including National Peroxides, Galaxy Surfactants., Castrol India, Thermax, Cipla, Emcure Pharmaceuticals, Mylan India, Tata Ficosa and Tata Autocomp Systems, to name a few.

Business area of the company

The company is an ISO 9001:2008 and ISO TS/16494 (Unit - III) certified polymer based moulded products manufacturing company, engaged in the business of manufacturing and marketing of technically driven innovative products catering to growing industry segments like, Industrial Packaging Solutions, Lifestyle Products, Automotive Components, Healthcare Products, Infrastructure related products & Emergency Handling Solutions. Currently it operates three manufacturing units for manufacture of various polymer based moulded products.

Milestones

  • 1988: Incorporated under Companies Act, 1956 as Mitsu Chem Private Limited.
  • 1989: Acquired Plot No. N-84 at MIDC, Tarapur and commenced production of blow moulded and injection moulded plastic products at Unit – I in Tarapur.
  • 1990: Change in Promoters / Management of the Company.
  • 1995: Acquired Plot No. N-83 at MIDC, Tarapur in the name of one of its Group Company and used the same for manufacturing activities of the company.
  • 1999: Fresh agreement upon transfer of Plot No. N-83 in the name of the Company and fresh agreement of Plot No. N-84 upon submission of certificate of completion, entered into by MIDC, Tarapur.
  • 2001: Company received its first ISO Certification.
  • 2004: Product Patent received for ‘Mitsu Plastic Clamp’ under Design No. 195402.
  • 2006: Maiden Bonus Issue of the company via Capitalizing Rs 41 lakh.
  • 2007: Acquired Plot No. J-237 at MIDC, Tarapur for setting up Unit - II for the production of blow moulded plastic products.
  • 2012: Acquired manufacturing premises Khasra No. 60/4 at Rudrapur, Uttarakhand (on leasehold basis) for setting up Unit - III mainly for manufacturing of blow moulded and injection moulded automotive parts and health care products.
  • 2012: Acquired Office premises at 322-329 Gala Complex, Mulund, Mumbai for setting up of Registered Office.
  • 2013: Obtained possession of additional manufacturing of PE-14 at Sanand, GIDC, Gujarat for future expansion of its manufacturing activities.
  • 2014: Received ISO / TS 16949: 2009 for Blow and Injection Moulded Components like Rain Hood Plastic for Air Cleaner and Washer Bottles for Wiper Systems from TUV Rheinland, Germany.
  • 2015: Obtained the CE certification from Standards Certification Council for its blow moulded product of Spine Board.
  • 2015: Gross Revenue crosses more than Rs 100 crore.
  • 2016: Change in the name & status of the Company from Mitsu Chem Private Limited to Mitsu Chem Plast Limited.
  • 2016: Sub Division of the Face Value of the Equity Shares from Rs 100 to Rs 10 each.
