About BEML Land Assets Ltd

BEML Land Assets Limited was incorporated on July 15, 2021, for the purpose of Demerger of “Identified surplus / non-core assets” of BEML Limited into BEML Land Assets Limited as part of the Strategic Disinvestment of BEML Limited, initiated by the Government of India.

The company is under Administrative control of Ministry of Defence, Department of Defence Production, Government of India.

BEML in October 2022 demerged its non-core businesses into BEML Land Assets Ltd. The main assets of the demerged entity was reportedly around total 550 acre of prime land in Bangalore and Mysore.

The demerger was to specify the value of its core business - manufacturing heavy equipment like earth movers and defence equipment - and fixed assets separately, which would clear the way for privatisation.
