About Puravankara Ltd

Puravankara Projects was incorporated as Puravankara Constructions Private Limited in 1986 in Mumbai. The name of the company was later changed to Puravankara Projects Limited and the status of company was changed to a public limited company on July 10, 1992.

The company is a part of Purvankara Group. The Group was established in 1975 by Ravi Puravankara, in response to the growing need for quality housing and commercial space in the metropolitan cities of India. Since then, the Group has grown to be one of the leading real estate developer of the country, serving the needs of a discerning clientele.

The Puravankara Group with over 33 years of excellence in the upper end of the housing sector across various regions of the Country has projects in Bangalore, Chennai, Kochi, Coimbatore, Hyderabad, Mysore and Colombo. It also has a presence in Dubai in the UAE and business representatives in the United Kingdom and the United States.

With a land bank of over 125 million sq ft, the Group has above 20 million sq ft of residential and commercial space currently under construction. Included in this are on-going residential projects amounting to 13.50 million sq ft which comprise of 7,800 homes.

In 2005, it entered into a joint venture with Keppel Investment Mauritius Private Limited. Now it owns 49% of the shares of Keppel Puravankara Development Private Limited.

On December 15, 2006, The company  entered into MOUs for the purchase of lands or for execution of joint developments agreements with respect to parcels of land located in and around Bangalore and Chennai aggregating approximately 76.23 million sq.ft.

By 2007 it had completed 14 residential projects and one commercial project covering approximately 3.77 million sq. ft. of saleable area. Ongoing projects aggregate approximately 12.20 million sq. ft. of saleable area. It is constructing 14 residential and one commercial project aggregating approximately 10.98 million sq. ft. of saleable area and Keppel Puravankara Development, is constructing two residential projects

  • Purva Pavilion at Hebbal, Bangalore
  • Purva Heights in South Bangalore
  • Purva Park at Cox Town
  • Uran Park – Mumbai
  • Whitefield Bougainvilla, England

Divisions In addition to construction division it also has ‘interior works and modifications’ division that caters to any modifications required by its customers for their apartments.

  • Purva Marine Properties Private Limited was incorporated on February 2, 2006 in Bangalore.
  • Centurion Housing and Constructions Private Limited was incorporated on June 13, 1996 in Chennai.
  • Purva Realities Private Limited was incorporated on May 10, 2006 in Karnataka.
  • Purva Corporation was incorporated under the International Business Companies Act of the British Virgin Islands on June 2, 2005.
  • Melmont Construction Private Limited was incorporated on October 4, 2004 in Karnataka.
  • Puravankara Projects Lanka (Private) Limited was incorporated on December 6, 2005 in Sri Lanka.
