Umang Dairies, a JK Group company was setup in 1994 .The Dairy plant of the company is situated 120 kms from Delhi in the town of Gajraula (Uttar Pradesh), is a state of the art milk processing plant. The plant has a capacity to process over 3,00,000 litres of milk per day.
Umang Dairies Ltd. is engaged in the production and sale of Milk Powders and Ghee (Clarified Butter).
The plant has the state of art equipments, imported from Gaulin (USA) & Hassia (Germany). Other major euipments have been indigenously designed by Alpha Laval. Quality milk is collected through their own extensive Village Collection System - 800 villages & 25000 farmers.
The company's products are sold both in bulk and in consumer packs. It has strong presence in the branded segment of milk powders in India. The sales and distribution network of the company serves over 258,000 retail outlets through 600 distributors. Company also regularly exports its products, primarily Skimmed Milk Powder. Leveraging its strong distribution reach, the company also undertakes distribution of third party products.
The company's R&D Centre has developed many food products like Low Bulk Density Milk Powder, Flavoured Milk Powders, Malted Milkfood, High Protein Beverages, Carbonated Lemonade Powder, Weaning Foods and Fresh Cream. Umang Dairies Ltd. also manufactures and supplies milk ingredients for tea and coffee beverages â€“ both for hot and cold applications.
A fully developed R&D centre constantly works for improving systems of milk collection, processing and product upgradation. Extensive market coverage through 600 distributors servicing over 2.5 lac retail outlets.
