About Tai Industries Ltd

Tai Industries was set up in May 1983 as Tashi Agro Industries Private Limited for marketing of agricultural products. On August 6, 1992, the status of the company was changed to public limited company. The company's name was changed to Tai Industries on March 29, 1994.

Tai Industries Limited is the Indian flagship company under the Tashi Group.

The company launched ‘DRUK’ brand of fruit products in 1986. Manufactured by its group company ‘Bhutan Fruit Products Private Limited’ each single product of DRUK has been acquired from the mountain slopes of Bhutan, nurtured by traditional eco-friendly agro management techniques. The DRUK products that have pervaded international markets include fruits, vegetables, jams, squashes, pickles, honey, fruit slices, corn flakes and processed foods and tropical delights like mango pulp, panna & juices.

The other sector that the company has forayed into is the marketing of mineral products. Calcium carbide, ferro silicon, charcoal etc are mined / processed by its group companies in Bhutan.

The registered office of the company, located at 53A Mirza Ghalib Street, 3rd floor, Kolkata 700016, is in control of a network of numerous branches, depots and a chain of C&F Agency depots that operate nationally.

Tai Industries has added yet another dimension to itself by promoting JAMIPOL Limited for the production of Desulphurisation compounds, in association with the Tata Group and SKW Metalchemie GMBH, Germany.

Charting Indian consumerism on a steady rise, Tai Industries has diversified into large format retailing with its chain of supermarkets ‘C3 -The Marketplace’. The first C3 store was put up at Lee Road in Kolkata in 2004, only to be followed by many more properties that mushroomed across the city that invited immense footfall and announced their success.
