The company was incorporated on November 15, 1979 in Rajasthan and was promoted jointly by Rajasthan State Industrial Development & Investment Corporation Limited (RIICO) and three technocrats viz. Ladia, Satish Chandra Agarwal and SR Jain. The company is engaged in the manufacturing of polyester, acrylic & viscose yarns of various counts and blends.
The company's plant is located at Dungarpur in Rajasthan with a capacity to produce 12,000 tonne per annum. Its products include dyed-polyester viscose blended yarn, dyed 100% viscose/100% polyester yarn. The plant manufacturers a range of quality and high value yarns on Cross Roll (UK), Lakshmi Reiter, Schlafhorst (Germany), Savio (Italy) and Leewha (Korea) machines.
The unit has been leader in supply of dyed yarn in domestic markets. A wide variety of yarns ranging from counts Ne 15 to 30 is produced by quality twisting on TFO machines. The unit is producing dyed, milange, grindle, roving grindle and machine slub qualities among other special effect yarns. There is a very large shade range to match colour/effects of various yarns in normal twist as well as reverse twist. The company is exporting its products to Chile, Germany, Kenya, Spain, Syria, Jordan, Brazil, Egypt, Turkey, etc.
In 1989, as a part of its modernisation programme, the company undertook installation of latest carding machines during the year. The company's high value fancy yarns and new varieties were well received in the market.

The company's principal activity is to manufacture and market synthetic blended yarn, cotton yarn and polypropylene multifilament yarn.
Grey yarn - Grey yarn is produced using blends of different synthetic fibre such as polyester/viscose, 100% viscose yarn, 100% polyester fibre yarn and pure cotton. These qualities are produced in SRT division and polycot division of the company. The company has niche markets for 100% viscose fibre yarn. Specialty fibre yarns were developed for industrial and home textile applications.
Dyed yarn - Dyed yarn is produced at Syntex division of the company. These yarns are relatively higher value-added products and made according to customers specification of blend, counts and shades. The company has specialty in producing home textile dyed yarns for end use such as carpets, tapestry and upholstery.
PMF yarn - Polypropylene multifilament yarn is produced at Shree Shyam Filament division of the company at Bagru, Jaipur, POY and texturised yarn is produced for knitting, socks and furnishing applications. BCF yarn is produced for carpet applications.
