About Texel Industries Ltd

Established in 1989, Texel Industries Limited is an ISO 9001:2015 certified company. Texel is pioneers of its products, namely Tarpaulins and Geomembranes, in India and the 1st Company in India to receive a license from the Bureau of Indian Standards. The company provides end-to-end solutions for its customer’s needs, ranging from consultation and product to installation and after sales service. Over the past many years, the Texel’s Tarpaulins has established a reputation for being superior in quality. Texel is among the largest Tarpaulins and Geomembranes manufacturers and suppliers in India.

Business area of the company

The company is engaged in manufacturing of Tarpaulins and Geomembranes with an experience of more than three decades. The company manufactures a wide range of Geo-synthetics Textile products which includes Tarpaulins, Geomembranes, Vermibed, Geotank, Geotube, Grow Bags Azollabed, and Water Proof Membrane. Its products are used in agriculture, aquaculture, horticulture, animal husbandry, civil engineering, water harvesting, water conservation and disaster relief, landscaping, transportation and waste management.

The Company also undertakes research and development activities to reduce costs through more efficient production processes, to develop new products and to enhance its products, services, technologies, processes etc.

History and milestones

  • 1989: Texel was incorporated with the vision of manufacturing high quality HDPE Tarpaulins for the Indian market. Texel is a pioneer in this field in India.
  • 1994: Texel undertook its first expansion and IPO.
  • 1995: Texel launched Multilayer Reinforced Geomembranes in the Indian market.
  • 2018: Texel’s first WOS Texel Industries (Africa) Ltd. was incorporated along with the launch of its new product, the Geotank.
  • 2020: Texel is looking forward to its second expansion drive.
  • 2021: Installation of Machineries at new plant.
  • 2021: Commencement of new plant.
