Abhishek Corporation incorporated in 1993 is engaged in yarn manufacturing and construction business in India. Company was incorporated under the name Abhishek Cotspin Mills. Later on November 14, 2005 the name was changed to Abhishek Mills.

This Maharashtra based company is part of R. M. Mohite Group. The company is a 100% export-oriented unit (EOU). Subsequently the name was changed to present one in 2008

ACL has been conferred with registration as Class I (A) category contractor with Public Works Division (PWD) of Government of Maharashtra. This permits the company to bid for, to carry out and to complete independently civil and infrastructure contracts received from Government and Semi Government Bodies without any restriction on the upper limit of the project amount.

ACL intends to establish itself as a quality yarn dyed fabric exporter. Presently, ACL exports its cotton yarn to Italy, Mauritius, Germany, South Korea, Switzerland, Vietnam, Bahrain, Russia, Korea, Mauritius and Hong Kong. The company also undertakes contract works for various infrastructure projects.

Business divisions

Yarn Manufacturing- The Company has a capacity to 36,144 spindles and has been able to provide various value added facilities such as compact spinning, Singeing, Doubling etc. The unit manufactures yarn ranging from 40s to 120s.

Weaving- ACL has entered into weaving segment with the setting up of its Mega Project - with a total outlay of over Rs. 222.32 Crores which was envisaged, financed and implemented within a record time of two years. A total capacity of 8 million meters fabric per annum is being established with the successful commissioning of the new project.

Construction- Company ventured into construction in 2000 and took over construction of Morbe dam (earthern) project on Dhavri river from R.M. Mohite & Co. The group has been part of various projects namely Bhira Tail race hydro-electric project in Raigad district, Wana left bank canal, M.I. tank at Chorgewadi in Sindhudurg district are among others.

Milestones

• 1993- Abhishek Cotspin Mills was incorporated for undertaking the business of manufacture of cotton yarn.
• 1999- The company set up modern manufacturing facility of 13,104 spindles for 100% combed cotton yarn at Kolhapur in the state of Maharashtra .it started exporting high quality cotton yarn at competitive prices.
• 2000- The company entered into construction business.
• 2003- The company ventured into infrastructure construction.
• 2005- The company’s name was changed to Abhishek Mills
• 2006- Expansion of capacity from 25920 spindles to 33120 spindles. The same year company applied to PWD GoM for registration as Class IB contractor.
• 2008- The name of the company was changed to present one.

New Development

Abhishek Corporation is planning to set up a yarn-dyed shirting fabric project with an investment cost of Rs 217 crore in Kolhapur district, that is expected to create jobs for around 700 people. The project will produce 21.6 million metres of fabric per annum.
