Shamrock Industrial Company (SICL) is the manufacturing division of Shamrock Group of Companies, who have been primarily involved in the field of Pharmaceutical Raw Materials, Intermediates and Fine Chemicals since the past 23 years.

The company has 4 manufacturing facilities strategically located at Taloja, Chennai and Baroda in India, where they are producing high quality products and exporting them to more than 35 countries worldwide. In fact, 100% of their sales comprise of exports to the overseas markets catering solely to the Pharmaceutical.

Today Shamrock is a 100% export oriented company with several satisfied and esteemed customers which include some of the leading API manufacturers, multinational companies, leading laboratories and pharmaceutical companies in more than 40 countries worldwide.

Their manufacturing locations are as per GMP standards and are obtaining ISO 9000 and ISO 14000 certification. The Khopoli unit is designed to meet with U.S. FDA standards. The units are so designed that they have dedicated plants as well as multi purpose plants catering to custom manufacturing activities and which have enough capacity to manufacture a very wide range of products. The equipments are specially designed so as to execute various processes and reactions including Multi Stage Process.

The facilities of the company are capable of handling several hazardous reactions like cynation, nitration, bromination, high pressure and temperature conditions,catalytic hydrogenation, etc. Reactions handled are from – 40 °C to 200 °C and Pressures – handled up to 15 ATM.  They have a total reactive volume of about 250000 ltrs (250m3). Their production facilities also include Pilot Plant where several reactions are taken up on trial basis ranging from 10 kgs to 100 kgs. In fact, on an average, they scale up approximately 20 – 30 new products every year on the Pilot Plant and subsequently the commercial production begins.

Besides this, they also use Pilot Plants for constant improvisation of a particular process and to carry out various trials for the purpose of “Adding Value to Basic Chemistry”.

Their production facilities undergo constant updating so as to fulfill the manufacturing quality standards of the FDA. Their facilities have also been approved by many of their customers including multinational companies. Their endeavour and focus has been in the BASIC BACKWARD INTEGRATION by producing the intermediates or raw materials from the basic stage.
