Eros International trades jubilantly on the buzz of selling stake in Eros Now

Eros International Media is currently trading at Rs. 581.00, up by 43.35 points or 8.06% from its previous closing of Rs. 537.65 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 590.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 597.10 and Rs. 575.60 respectively. So far 62038 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 597.10 on 09-Jul-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 206.70 on 13-Aug-2014.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 597.10 and Rs. 531.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 5354.47 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 74.41% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 20.48% and 5.11% respectively.

Eros International is reportedly in advanced discussion with Singapore-based Fullerton Fund Management Company to sell a stake in its Eros Now unit. The deal, if completed, would value Eros Now at as much as $800 million or Rs 5,080 crore.

Eros Now is Eros International’s streaming platform, which has about 19 million subscribers, mostly in India. Fullerton, which already owns about 10 per cent of Eros International, wouldn't increase its investment in the parent company through the Eros Now investment.
