Monsanto India dips on reporting 12% fall in Q1 net profit

Monsanto India is currently trading at Rs 3215.10, down by 83.25 points or 2.52% from its previous closing of Rs 3298.35 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 3317.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 3317.00 and Rs. 3200.00 respectively. So far 1355 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 3755.95 on 02-Feb-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1863.40 on 13-Aug-2014.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 3374.95 and Rs. 3158.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 5559.64 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 72.14% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 5.82% and 22.03% respectively.

Monsanto India has reported a fall of 11.59% in its net profit at Rs 62.79 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2015 as compared to Rs 71.02 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. The company’s total income has decreased by 0.21% to Rs 266.03 crore for the quarter under review, from Rs 266.6 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
