Oriental Bank of Commerce trades with traction on the bourses

Oriental Bank of Commerce is currently trading at Rs. 174.50, up by 3.70 points or 2.17% from its previous closing of Rs. 170.80 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 170.90 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 178.65 and Rs. 170.90 respectively. So far 79310 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 344.40 on 01-Jan-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 155.15 on 29-Jul-2015.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 182.00 and Rs. 156.80 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 5121.42 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 59.13% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 29.93% and 10.94% respectively.

Oriental Bank of Commerce (OBC) has reduced the Base Rate from 10.00% p.a. to 9.90% p.a. with effect from August 17, 2015.

The bank has reported 29.27% fall in its net profit at Rs 257.84 crore for the quarter as compared to Rs 364.54 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the bank has decreased by 0.13% at Rs 5568.78 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 5576.02 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2014.

The bank’s gross NPA for the April-June quarter of the current fiscal increased to 5.85% as compared to 4.33% in the same quarter of the previous year. Besides, bank’s Net NPA stood at 3.76% in Q1FY16.
